Full job description

Concrete Boom Pump Driver (HGV Class 2)

Are you an experienced Concrete Boom Pump Driver looking for a new opportunity? We’re excited to welcome a dedicated professional to Eastern Concrete! In this role, you’ll drive concrete pump trucks across various project sites in the East of England.

You’ll work 45 hours per week, including paid break, Monday to Friday. Annual Salary of £40,973.40 with the opportunity for overtime at a rate of £23.29.

Job security with an independent Concrete Supplier in the Eastern Region

Person Specification:

Prior experience operating concrete pumps or similar heavy machinery.
Full HGV License with Driver Qualification Card and Driver CPC.
Valid NPORS Card would be an advantage.
An enthusiastic, reliable, customer-focused and punctual individual.
Strong communication skills for positive internal and external relationships.
A good level of mathematical understanding.
Knowledge of health and safety protocols.
Good geographical knowledge of East Anglia.
Flexible in your approach and willing to learn all aspects of the business.

Main duties & responsibilities:

Evaluate site conditions and work with contractors or supervisors to properly park and set up the truck.
Operate the boom and concrete pump to precisely place concrete as instructed, emphasising safety and accuracy.
Load and unload concrete pump attachments, ensuring safe usage.
Clean concrete pumps daily to maintain good working conditions and minimise breakdowns.
Ensure all safety precautions are in place before, during and after each project.
