Full job description

We are seeking an outgoing, customer facing, Farm Shop Butcher to join our team at Fernygrove Farm, based in a beautiful rural spot between Bracknell and Maidenhead.

This role is vital in delivering high-quality meat products to our customers and supporting our farm-to-table mission.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cut meat products according to customers requirements
Ensure all butchery activities comply with food safety regulations
Assist in managing stock levels and ordering supplies
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butchery area
Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge and recommendations
Uphold the farm’s commitment to sustainability and quality

Working hours

Wednesday to Saturday (4 day week, potential for 5)
8am-4pm

Requirements

Proven experience in butchery or meat preparation, training can be given
Strong knowledge of food safety standards
Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Passion for local food and sustainable practices
Ability to use a till
Great communication skills
Be able to step up to cover Manager, when required
Reliable , honest & hardworking

Salary will be based on experience.
