Job Description – Wet Trader (Social Housing Maintenance)
Position: Wet Trader
Location: South West London
Sector: Social Housing Responsive Maintenance
Rate: £230 per day (Self-Employed/CIS)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Wet Trader to join our team carrying out responsive maintenance and repairs within occupied social housing properties across South West London.
The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, delivering high-quality repairs while maintaining excellent customer service standards in tenants' homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plastering and patch repairs
- Wall and floor tiling
- Bathroom tiling and splashback installations
- Tile repairs and replacements
- Painting and decorating following repair works
- General making good and finishing works
- Minor carpentry repairs (desirable)
- Basic plumbing repairs (desirable)
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment
- Communicating professionally with tenants and site management
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Wet Trader or Multi Trade Operative
- Strong plastering skills
- Experience with wall and floor tiling
- Ability to complete bathroom and splashback tiling
- Painting and decorating experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Own van suitable for carrying materials and tools
- Own tools
- Public Liability Insurance
- UTR/CIS registration (if applicable)
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Desirable Skills
- Basic carpentry experience
- Basic plumbing experience
- Previous experience working within social housing maintenance
- Knowledge of responsive repairs and occupied properties
