Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and skilled Bench Hand Joiners to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing high-quality joinery products in our workshop environment. This role requires a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to work independently and efficiently to meet project deadlines. The ideal applicant will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and a commitment to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture bespoke joinery components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Assemble timber and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Finish products with precision
- Operate hand tools such as chisels, saws, planes, and measuring devices accurately
- Use power tools safely for cutting, drilling, and shaping materials
- Collaborate with the team to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the production process
- Assist with site visits or installations when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment to promote safety and efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and finishing of joinery products
- Strong knowledge of carpentry and joinery techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship quality
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a workshop or construction environment
