We are looking for an experienced, quality-focused Electronics Mechanical Assembler & Through Hole PCB Builder / Hand Solderer to join our production team.
The role - Electronics Mechanical Assembler
- Assemble electronic products, enclosures and sub-assemblies to specification.
- Work from engineering drawings, assembly diagrams and written instructions.
- Fit, fasten and wire components within chassis, panels and enclosures.
- Use hand tools, torque tools and assembly jigs safely and correctly.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and traceability.
- Identify and promptly escalate assembly issues or non-conformances.
- Work to production schedules while keeping a clean, organised and safe workspace.
- Support continuous improvement across the production team.
About you
- Experience in mechanical assembly within an electronics or manufacturing environment.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
- Strong manual dexterity and excellent attention to detail.
- Familiar with hand tools, torque tools and assembly fixtures.
- Methodical, reliable and quality focused.
- A positive team player with clear communication skills.
- IPC or equivalent assembly training would be beneficial, but is not essential.
The role -Through Hole PCB Builder / Hand Solderer to join our production team.
- Insert through hole components onto PCB assemblies using BOMs, assembly drawings and work instructions.
- Hand solder through hole components to a consistently high standard.
- Inspect your own work in line with IPC-A-610 or equivalent standards.
- Identify soldering defects, rework requirements and non-conformances, escalating where necessary.
- Work to production schedules without compromising quality.
- Complete accurate traceability and production documentation where required.
- Support wider production activities, including SMT support and final assembly when needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
About you
- Proven experience in through hole PCB assembly and hand soldering within a production environment.
- Good understanding of IPC-A-610 workmanship and acceptability standards.
- Able to work confidently from BOMs, assembly drawings and written work instructions.
- Excellent eyesight, manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Experience of solder rework and touch-up is advantageous.
- Dependable, positive and proud of producing high-quality work.
