Role: Buying Assistant – Apprentice

Apprenticeship: Buying and Merchandising - Level 4

Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Hours: Full-time

Love trends and want to learn how products make it from concept to customer?

We’re looking for a creative and motivated Buying Assistant Apprentice to join our Lifestyle team working across Furniture123 and Better Bathrooms.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in Buying, with no prior experience needed.

Alongside the role, you’ll complete a Data Essentials Programme, helping you develop skills in:

Excel & reporting
Trend research
Product analysis
Commercial thinking
Retail & eCommerce
Communication & teamwork

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting Buyers with day-to-day admin tasks
Updating product and supplier information accurately
Managing spreadsheets, reports, and product data
Communicating with suppliers through Teams and email
Helping track product launches and delivery timelines
Assisting with sales reports and data analysis
Working with different teams, including Marketing and Merchandising
Researching trends and competitor products
Creating simple mood boards and product inspiration ideas
Helping keep product information organised and up to date

What We’re Looking For

Passion for fashion, interiors, retail, or trends
Creative mindset with good attention to detail
Eager to learn and develop new skills
Good communication and teamwork
Basic Microsoft Office skills (or willingness to learn)
No buying experience needed, just enthusiasm, curiosity, and a positive attitude.
