Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter / Glass Collector to join our busy hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that all glassware and kitchen utensils are properly cleaned and prepared for service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and possess a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service.

Duties

Collect used glasses, dishes, and utensils from dining areas and bar stations along with outside in our large beer garden throughout the summer
Wash, clean, and sanitise glassware, crockery, and kitchen equipment in accordance with hygiene standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas
Restock supplies such as glasses and utensils to ensure smooth service operations
Support the front-of-house team with serving duties as needed
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling protocols are adhered to

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or food service environments is advantageous but not essential
Familiarity with food preparation or kitchen operations is desirable
Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or bars will be highly regarded
Ability to use your common sense
Strong communication skills are essential for effective teamwork and customer interaction
No formal qualifications are required; however, a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are vital for success in this role

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
