Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces and mixing materials using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper foundation for masonry work.
- Lay bricks, stones, blocks, or other materials with precision according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Use masonry techniques to construct walls, facades, fireplaces, and other structural elements.
- Perform carpentry tasks such as framing or creating supports as needed for masonry projects.
- Apply roofing skills when necessary to integrate roofing components with masonry structures.
- Operate welding equipment safely for reinforcement or structural modifications when required.
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools and disposing of debris efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels.
- Experience in bricklaying, masonry work, and related construction techniques.
- Ability to operate power tools including drills, saws, and grinders safely and effectively.
- Strong carpentry skills for framing or support structures related to masonry projects.
- Knowledge of roofing installation processes relevant to masonry structures.
- Welding skills for reinforcement or structural adjustments when necessary.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with physical stamina to perform demanding manual tasks in various weather conditions.
