Full job description

We are seeking an organised and proactive Research Project Manager to support the delivery of MERMAID (Mastering Effectiveness Research by Meta-Analysing Trial and Real-World Evidence in Immune-mediated Inflammatory Diseases), within a dynamic, inclusive environment.

You will be responsible for:

Manage day-to-day delivery of the MERMAID project, coordinating activities, tracking progress against milestones, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring outputs are delivered on time and within budget.
Identify risks and issues, working with the Principal Investigator and research team to agree practical solutions and support effective project governance.
Prepare and support ethics and regulatory submissions, study documentation, funder reporting, data management activity, and compliance with relevant research governance requirements.
Organise and support project meetings, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, respond to enquiries, prepare agendas and minutes, and track follow-up actions.
Support research dissemination, collaboration, publication activity, public engagement, financial monitoring, and the development of future funding opportunities.

About You

We welcome applications from people with strong project management, organisational and communication skills who enjoy working in a collaborative research environment and contributing to high-impact health research. You should be able to demonstrate:

Essential Criteria:

Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience in project management or administration.
Experience of working successfully in a multi-disciplinary environment and liaising with stakeholders across organisations.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently, using initiative, sound judgement and problem-solving skills to progress work.
Strong communication, interpersonal, IT and financial administration skills, including handling complex or confidential information appropriately.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience of research methods or working within research programmes.
Experience in pharmacoepidemiology or related clinical research areas.
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice or relevant regulatory frameworks.
