**JOB OPPORTUNITY - Head Grounds Keeper**
We have an opening for a full time Head Grounds Keeper at Kelbrook Lodge in Kelbrook, East Lancashire, a long standing family run clay pigeon shooting school and ground, located between Colne and Skipton.
The position is full time and the working days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
You will:- keep the shooting ground clean, tidy and well maintained- keep the clay traps filled and well maintained and change layouts- assist in the shop as necessary- unload deliveries - carry out landscaping and building work from time to time
You need to:- have a full driver’s licence and own car- pass DBS check- pass the Police background checks in order to obtain a shotgun certificate whilst working in the role- be self motivated and enthusiastic and enjoy working outside at all times of the year- be able to work independently, following daily and weekly routines and also work within a team structure
The role is physically demanding requiring lifting and movement of heavy mechanical equipment, 12v batteries and boxes of clays/cartridges.
Prior landscaping, gardening and/or building experience is preferred.
Prior clay shooting experience is not necessary.
Training will be provided in relation to clay target machinery and its maintenance.
Salary - £32,000 - £34,000 pa
