Job Title: Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Care Assistant to provide support and care to adult service users in Leicester. This role involves delivering high-quality personal and practical assistance within service users’ homes and community settings, with a strong focus on maintaining independence, dignity, and enhancing overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care support, including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and continence needs.
Support service users with mobility, transfers, and daily living activities.
Accompany service users to appointments, social events, and community-based activities.
Assist with and supervise activities such as shopping when required.
Monitor and report any changes in service users’ health, behaviour, or general wellbeing.
Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
Maintain accurate, clear, and up-to-date care records.
Follow safeguarding procedures, health and safety requirements, infection prevention and control guidance, and confidentiality policies.
Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other support teams.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience providing support to adults within a care setting.
Ability and confidence to deliver personal care in a respectful manner.
Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, professional, and caring approach.
Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Desirable Skills

Care Certificate or equivalent recognised qualification.
First Aid or emergency response training.
Previous experience in domiciliary care or community-based support.
