Hi there! At Majic, we make chilled high-protein cookie dough desserts that actually taste like dessert. Not a protein bar pretending to be one, just the real thing.
Everything is made by hand at our production facility at FoodWorks SW in Weston-super-Mare and we ship nationwide. We are growing fast and are looking to expand our team. We are a small, tight-knit team and we take our product seriously but also foster environment that everyone can enjoy (this is really important to us). The production floor is the heart of the business and we need someone brilliant to join it.
Job Summary
Hands-on and physical production job, making and packing Majic products. This includes Weighing ingredients, batching dough, assembling, packing, cleaning. requires real focus, real consistency and a real desire to do things properly.
If that sounds like your kind of job, you are already our kind of person. You will work alongside our Production Leads, Facility Manager and Founders in a small team where everyone pulls their weight and everyone matters.
Standards are high, hygiene is non-negotiable with every batch being as high quality as possible. Our team is relatively small and tight knit so we are looking someone who fits right into Majic. Your will be known and your work will be recognise and your contribution will genuinely make a difference. This role starts zero-hours with a real, honest path to a permanent contract for the right person.
What You Will Be Doing
- Weighing, batching and mixing ingredients to our approved recipes
- Preparing cookie dough, sauces and product components
- Portioning, assembling and packaging products to the right weight and standard
- Labelling products and preparing orders for dispatch
- Keeping the facility clean throughout the day, equipment, surfaces and production areas
- Organising and rotating stock, ingredients and packaging
- Completing batch records, temperature checks and production logs accurately
- Following food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures every shift without exception
- Supporting the team during busy periods and flagging anything that does not look right
Working Hours
- Zero hour contract with regular hours, leading to permanent role
- Typical availability Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 4:30pm
- Additional hours and occasional weekend shifts may be available
Pay
- Starting from National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage depending on age

Who We Need
Essential:
- Reliable and punctual, every shift
- Physically fit and comfortable on your feet for a full working day
- Able to follow processes and recipes carefully and consistently
- Detail-focused. You notice when something is off and bring it up!
- Calm and focused during busy, high-volume production periods
- A strong team player who gets on with the job without needing to be chased
- Honest, accountable and happy to take direction from your leads
A strong bonus if you have:
- Experience in food production, food manufacturing, a commercial kitchen or factory environment
- A Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or good working knowledge of food safety
- Familiarity with HACCP, allergen controls or batch records
No formal qualifications required. Full training will be provided including food safety and HACCP.
