Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional RCT Taxi Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services for school transport and occasional private hire. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, A clean and up to date local DBS and the ability to navigate urban areas confidently. This role involves transporting SEN passengers in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties

Safely operate the taxi vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations promptly and courteously
Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal condition
Communicate effectively with passengers to ensure a pleasant experience
Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management
Follow health and safety protocols, including vehicle inspections and safety checks
Transport School Children to and from SEN education centres.
Knowledge of airport routes (when required)

Skills

Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving is advantageous
Strong driving skills with the ability to handle heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling luggage
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members
Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and GPS navigation tools
Basic vehicle maintenance skills to identify minor issues and perform routine checks
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively

RCT Taxi Badge (In Date)
Category B Driving Licence
In Date DBS Certificate

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to £250.00 per week

Work Location: On the road
