Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled 360 Operator with groundwork experience to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a 360-degree excavator to carry out various earthmoving and groundwork tasks on-site. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment. Prior experience with commercial driving and excavator operation is essential to ensure smooth project progression and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Operate a 360-degree excavator to perform excavation, loading, and site preparation tasks in accordance with project specifications.
Carry out groundwork activities including trenching, grading, and site levelling.
Assist with site set-up and mobilisation of equipment as required.
Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs or potential faults.
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently.
Assist with the mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment across different sites as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience operating 360-degree excavators in groundwork projects.
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks on machinery.
Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) or equivalent, with experience in transporting heavy equipment if necessary.
Demonstrable groundwork experience, including trenching, grading, and site preparation tasks.
Strong understanding of health and safety protocols relevant to construction sites.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy materials when required.
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team environment.
