Trainee Roller Shutter & Automatic Door Engineer

Location: National

Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Trainee Roller Shutter & Automatic Door Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the industrial door and automatic entrance systems industry.

Full training will be provided, giving you the skills and knowledge required to install, service, maintain, and repair a wide range of roller shutters, industrial doors, and automatic door systems.

Key Responsibilities

Assist experienced engineers with installations, servicing, and repairs.
Learn how to diagnose faults and carry out maintenance work.
Travel to customer sites across the region.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
Complete job reports and paperwork accurately.
Provide excellent customer service at all times.

Requirements

A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Good practical and mechanical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Full UK driving licence
Basic electrical knowledge would be an advantage but is not required.

Role Details

Monday - Friday (possibility of working weekends every now and then)
Starting wage is £12-14ph depending on experience
Weekend - £20ph
Meal allowance during overnight stays
