Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver / Surface Preparation Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering materials safely and efficiently while assisting with surface preparation tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Class 2 (Category C) licence, with experience in commercial driving and delivery operations. The successful applicant will play a vital part in maintaining our high standards of safety, punctuality, and quality service.
Duties
- Operating a hookloader to transport plant machinery to various project sites in a safe and responsible manner
- Conducting routine vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with road safety regulations
- Assisting with surface preparation activities, including cleaning, organising, and preparing work areas ahead of surfacing
- Loading and unloading plant
- Working with the wider crew on site as required
Requirments
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence & valid CPC along with digital tachograph
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, with experience in road surfacing
- Ability to operate power tools and plant equipment used in surface preparation activities - bobcat sweeper experience preferred
- Flexbile approach to working hours & job locations
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
- Physical fitness to preparation tasks as required
