Full job description

Location: Bridlington to Selby

Rate: £180 per shift

Type: Temporary - up to 2 years

Start: Immediate

PLS Civil Engineering are an established contractor delivering a diverse range of interesting projects up to £10m across the UK, spanning utilities installations, highways, rail and infrastructure. We are recruiting an experienced Traffic Marshall (Vehicle Plant Marshall) to work on a 68km HV ducting project. You will be responsible for the safe movement of vehicles and plant around site, keeping people and machinery safely apart and keeping deliveries flowing.

Duties

Directing and banking vehicles, plant and deliveries on and off site
Controlling reversing manoeuvres and lifting/loading operations
Maintaining segregation between pedestrians and moving vehicles
Enforcing the site traffic management plan, speed limits and one-way systems
Checking drivers are inducted and briefed before entering the working area
Setting up and maintaining barriers, cones and signage
Reporting near misses, hazards and incidents to the site management team

Requirements

Essential

Valid CSCS card
Right to work in the UK
Good communication skills and confidence directing drivers
Reliable, punctual and comfortable working outdoors in all weathers

Desirable

Plant Vehicle Marshall ticket (training can be considered for the right candidate)
Previous experience on civils or heavy industrial sites
