Job Title: Assistant Manager
Location: Messingham Lakes, North Lincolnshire
Hours: Full‑time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Overview
Messingham Lakes is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Assistant Manager to support the day‑to‑day operations of our growing leisure destination. Home to luxury lodge accommodation, an 18‑hole golf course, Weddings, Events and The Lounge on the Lake , this is a key role that ensures our guest experience remains exceptional at every touchpoint.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in leisure park operations, with exposure to weddings, golf, and private functions. A strong eye for detail, organisational skills, and the ability to lead by example are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee lodge accommodation standards, housekeeping operations, and guest check‑in/check‑out processes as well as front of house operations
Ensure smooth delivery of weddings, golf events, and private functions
Maintain exceptional standards of presentation, cleanliness, and guest service across the site
Lead, motivate, and support team members across multiple departments
Handle guest enquiries and resolve issues quickly and professionally
Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing, and operational procedures
Contribute to continuous improvement and help develop systems that enhance the guest journey
Deputise for the General Manager when required

Requirements

Previous experience in a hospitality or leisure management or senior supervisory role is essential
Strong background in accommodation or lodge/holiday park operations is essential
Experience supporting or delivering weddings, golf events, or functions
Excellent communication and leadership skills
A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high service standards
Strong organisational ability and confidence managing multiple priorities
Comfortable working proactively and taking ownership of operational decisions
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings where required
