We're looking for an experienced and client-focused Conveyancing Executive to join our Brighton office and play a key role within our growing Conveyancing Department.

About the Role
As a Conveyancing Executive, you'll be responsible for managing your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion. You'll work closely with clients, estate agents, lenders and other third parties to ensure transactions progress smoothly and efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of client care and professionalism throughout.
We're looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in helping clients navigate one of life's most important purchases.
What You'll Be Doing
Take Ownership of Your Caseload
- Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion.
- Proactively progress matters to achieve smooth and successful transactions.
- Keep clients regularly informed and supported throughout their property journey.
- Deliver a high-quality service whilst effectively managing deadlines and priorities.
Deliver Exceptional Client Service
- Build trusted relationships with clients and third parties.
- Act as a reliable and professional point of contact throughout each transaction.
- Take a proactive approach to resolving issues and overcoming challenges.
- Ensure every client receives an outstanding experience from start to finish.
Contribute to a Growing Team
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm.
- Support and share knowledge with Trainees, Paralegals and support staff where required.
- Contribute to a positive team culture built on collaboration, professionalism and mutual support.
- Play an active role in the continued growth and success of the department.
Support Growth and Innovation
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and client experience.
- Support networking and business development initiatives where appropriate.
- Build and maintain relationships with introducers and professional contacts.
- Keep up to date with developments within the conveyancing sector and wider legal industry.
Maintain Professional Standards
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional obligations.
- Maintain accurate records, time recording and billing practices.
- Report any risks, complaints or compliance concerns promptly.
- Always protect the confidentiality and security of client and firm information.
What We're Looking For
Essential
· A minimum of 2 years' fee-earning experience within residential conveyancing.
- Strong knowledge of the residential conveyancing process.
- Excellent client care and relationship management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues.
- Existing relationships with estate agents, brokers or local introducers.
- Experience participating in networking or business development activities.
