Our Litigation team is based primarily in Lewes, with occasional travel to London, and works on a diverse range of personal and commercial disputes across the UK. Our clients include local authorities, government agencies, high net worth individuals, landed estates, receivers, national companies, charities, trustees, family-owned businesses and individuals, offering our employees exposure to varied and high-quality work.
On the commercial side, we act in matters involving business and property disputes, insurance, health and safety, environmental issues, construction, negligence, insolvency, debt recovery and trustee disputes. In personal litigation, our expertise spans property disputes, family law, construction, debt recovery and complex probate and trust cases.

The Opportunity: Litigation Paralegal We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Paralegal who is highly organised, proactive, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also need the confidence to liaise directly with clients, providing clear and professional support. If you are methodical, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.
Your Role Will Involve:
Court and Case Support
- Attending court to assist Counsel and take detailed hearing notes.
- Preparing Court forms accurately.
- Preparing instructions to Counsel and assisting with trial bundle preparation.
- Preparing and reviewing ancillary documentation to support case management.
Client Liaison and Communication
- Liaising directly with clients and attending meetings when required.
- Liaising with Courts, Counsels’ Chambers, and other third parties to support case progression.
Document Management and Drafting
- Document Management and Drafting.
- Preparing statutory notices.
- Assisting colleagues in drafting basic legal documents and amending manuscripts.
- Assisting with advice on leasehold agreements and tenancy agreements.
- Opening, closing, and maintaining files efficiently, ensuring all records are up to date.
Financial and Administrative Support
- Preparing bills, managing payments, receipts, and transfers, and resolving arising queries.
- Assisting with new client enquires.
- Assisting with anti-money laundering checks.
Research and Analysis
- Conducting legal research to support cases and ongoing matters.
- Staying current with legislative changes and committing to CPD to keep up to date in this dynamic and variable area of law.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Litigation Paralegal within a Litigation or Dispute Resolution team.
- Strong knowledge of law and legal procedures, with excellent attention to detail.
- Methodical and organised, with effective time management and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Confident in liaising professionally with clients, Courts, Counsel, and other third parties.
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
- Proficient in IT and legal software.
- Positive, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrates professionalism and tact when handling sensitive matters.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with clear and effective communication skills.

The Salary This hybrid role offers a salary of £27,000 to £32,000 depending on experience.
