Market Stall Assistant (with Car/Reliable Transport) – One-Day Event
We are an independent, UK-registered tabletop board game publisher (Interstars Entertainment). We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and proactive assistant to single-handedly run our interactive pop-up market stall at the vibrant Brighton Open Market [brightonopenmarket.co.uk].This is a fantastic, high-paying one-off student gig for someone who loves tabletop games, wargaming, sci-fi, or live retail promotion!Schedule & Working Hours (Total 7.5 Hours):
- Friday 14th August 2026 (Home-Based – 1.0 Hour): Receive the inventory box from our courier at your residence, unbox the components, and carefully pre-pack/assemble 10 limited-edition game units (flexible evening hours).
- Saturday 15th August 2026 (On-Site Market – 6.5 Hours): Active stall setup, trading, and pack-down at Brighton Open Market from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM [brightonopenmarket.co.uk].
What You Will Do:
- Transport the 10 pre-assembled game boxes and product tubes to the market on Saturday morning using your vehicle [brightonopenmarket.co.uk].
- Set up a clean, premium table display featuring our custom 3D-printed miniatures and a giant A0 silk battle map.
- Actively engage with passersby, invite them to try a fun 60-second gameplay demo using our tactical command stick, and explain the rules.
- Process secure, automated cashless card payments via our provided SumUp Solo mobile terminal.
Requirements:
- Transport: Must have guaranteed access to reliable transport on Saturday morning (either your own car, or guaranteed drop-off/pick-up by a parent or friend) suitable for moving 10 boxes and art tubes [brightonopenmarket.co.uk].
- Personality: Highly outgoing, confident, and energetic. You will be the sole face of our brand on the day!
- Interests: A personal passion for board games, wargaming, miniature painting, or sci-fi genres is a massive asset.
Payment & Compliance Terms:
Base hourly pay (£95.33 total) is processed via direct bank transfer immediately following the event [gov.uk]. Performance sales bonuses are processed separately in the following week's payout cycle to remain fully compliant beneath UK National Insurance Secondary Thresholds (no complex PAYE paperwork required) [gov.uk].
