This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing corporate finance team where your work will have a direct impact on business performance and decision-making. As a Financial Analyst, you will support strong financial control, compliance, and reporting across the organisation, working with complex financial data and systems. You will collaborate with a range of stakeholders and gain valuable exposure to a broad finance environment, supporting both operational and strategic objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyse key balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying trends and explaining variances
Ensure accuracy of financial data through review and correction of general ledger entries
Review and validate key reconciliations, including intercompany and payroll balances
Support financial reporting processes, external audit activities, and compliance with accounting standards
Contribute to the development and improvement of financial controls, policies, and reporting processes
Identify opportunities to implement AI driven solutions to accelerate our financial analysis, and work with Thales UK in-house teams to implement solutions.
Ideal Experience & Skills:
Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant post-qualification experience
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and technical accounting, including IFRS
Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and draw meaningful insights
A curious approach to improving financial systems and tools, including an understanding of how AI can be used to improve financial information quality, speed of preparation, and insightful analysis.
Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems and reporting tools
Security Clearance Requirement:
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires Security Clearance (SC). It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
