Full job description

About the Role

We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded individual to take ownership of our membership growth and help drive the next stage of our business.

This isn't a reception role with occasional sales responsibilities. We're looking for someone who enjoys generating business, improving systems, and delivering measurable results.

Initially, this is a part-time position working alongside our existing salesperson , but for the right person there is a genuine opportunity to grow the role — taking on more hours and greater responsibility — as the business continues to grow.

You'll be joining us ahead of the busy New Year period and driving growth after a recent refresh/uplift, giving you the opportunity to establish yourself before the industry's biggest membership growth season.

Key Responsibilities

Drive new membership sales and consistently achieve agreed sales targets.
Convert enquiries into members through tours, consultations and effective follow-up.
Manage your stage of the sales pipeline using our CRM systems.
Ensure every enquiry receives a professional, timely and consistent response.
Work alongside our existing salesperson, sharing leads and enquiry handling fairly and professionally.
Help identify opportunities to improve sales processes and conversion rates.
Identify opportunities to increase member retention and secondary revenue.
Work closely with the business owner to develop strategies that increase overall revenue.

This role has real scope to grow. As the business expands and you prove yourself, there's the opportunity to:

Take on more hours and move into a full-time position.
Grow into a leadership role within the sales team as it develops.
Take on greater responsibility for sales strategy and performance.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who thinks commercially and treats the business as if it were their own. You should enjoy finding opportunities, solving problems, improving performance and being rewarded for delivering results.

Essential

Proven track record in sales with evidence of achieving or exceeding targets.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong closing and negotiation abilities.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to lead generation.
Confident using CRM systems and digital tools.
Professional, enthusiastic and positive attitude.

Desirable

Experience within the fitness, leisure or hospitality sector.
Experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, local SEO or digital marketing — we're always open to good ideas here and happy for the right person to get involved.
Knowledge of social media marketing and content creation.
Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues.
Understanding of KPIs, conversion rates and marketing analytics.

Contributing to increased overall membership numbers.
Improving lead generation and enquiry conversion.
Bringing good ideas to the table — whether that's marketing, process, or member experience.

Pay: £12.72-£15.00 per hour
