We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for completing tasks and projects with a team of multi-skilled Engineers who work within all areas both internal and external across all Worthing facilities.
This is a fixed late shift role working 37.5 per week, from 2pm – 10pm, Monday to Friday.
The salary for this role is £50,000 per annum with an additional 15% shift premium in addition. The role also forms part of our on-call rota with an additional premium payable when fully trained and involved in the rota.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a qualified engineer with a mechanical engineering background who ideally has experience of working within a cleanroom/pharma environment (we would be happy to receive applications from candidates from other regulated backgrounds).
You will have experience of Air handling units (AHUS), Autoclaves, Manufacturing equipment including filling machines.
The role
- Provide back up to all trade groups and be able to undertake Mechanical/ electrical / instrument repairs as required on Production equipment (as example MATA X10, MATA 2, Cogent, Autoclaves, Oven)
- Keep up to date with planned maintenance (overhaul of Production equipment, and production and Quality facility- changing seals, valves, bearings, filters as instructed in the Maximo). Completing Maximo Tickets in a timely manner with pre- work risk assessments in place
- Responsible for ensuring accurate, reliable measurements and control for safe and efficient plant operation. (completing Daily plant check, Pre work risk assessments/permit to works)
- Assist in delivery of engineering projects as directed
- Raise deviations where Engineering works have impacted Production- where repairs have been completed during manufacture of a batch and potential impact on quality of batch
