JOB TITLE: Groundworker
PAY RATE: £25 to £30 per hour (dependent on experience)
WORKING HOURS: 7:00am – 4.00pm – Monday to Friday

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Groundworker to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong background in civil engineering and groundworks, particularly drainage, kerbing and concrete works.
The successful candidate will be confident working as part of a site team and able to carry out groundwork activities safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Experience working on highways, Section 50 and Section 278 works would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
· Excavation and preparation of trenches for drainage, services and utilities
· Kerbing, edging and associated highway works
· Concrete works including preparation, pouring, placing and finishing
· Ground preparation, formation and levelling
· Installation of ducting and service trenches
· Carry out reinstatement works where required
· Work accurately from site drawings, levels and specifications
· Assist with road, highway and external works where required
· Work safely around plant and machinery
· Ensure works are completed in accordance with site health & safety requirements
· Work collaboratively with Site Managers, supervisors, machine operators and other trades
· Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area
The Candidate:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Groundworker with a proven track record within the groundworks, civil engineering or highways sectors.
You should be comfortable undertaking a variety of groundwork activities and ideally have particularly strong experience in drainage, kerbing and concrete works.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider site team.
Essential requirements:
· Experience working as a Groundworker
· Experience in drainage, kerbing and concrete works
· Valid CSCS card
· Relevant and valid construction/plant tickets for the work being undertaken
· Good understanding of site health & safety
· Ability to read drawings, work to levels and follow specifications
· Experience working on civil engineering or construction projects
· Good communication skills and reliability
· Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
· Experience working on Section 50 works
· Experience working on Section 278 highway works
· NRSWA / Street Works qualifications
Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
