Position Overview:
We’re looking for a relationship-focused Sales & Customer Success Manager who is motivated by building long-term customer partnerships, not just closing the initial sale. This role is ideal for someone with a nurturing mindset - a person who enjoys understanding customer needs, nurturing accounts over time, and ensuring clients continue to see value long after implementation.
The right person will be proactive in following up with customers, identifying opportunities to strengthen engagement, supporting adoption of our solutions, and acting as a trusted point of contact throughout the customer journey. Success in this role is measured not only by new business won, but by customer retention, satisfaction, account growth, and the quality of ongoing relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full sales lifecycle — from prospecting and pitching to closing and onboarding new clients in the retail industry, ensuring the success of each and every sale made.
- Help to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve targets and expand our customer base.
- Cultivate strong relationships with retailers, golf professionals, golf club managers, committees, and industry partners.
- Identify new market opportunities, customer needs, and growth segments.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to align messaging, campaigns, and solution enhancements.
- Monitor sales KPIs, pipeline health, and forecasting metrics for reporting to leadership.
- Represent Xpos at industry events, trade shows, and golf club forums.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships, with a focus on long-term account development rather than one-off sales.
- Experience in proactively nurturing customer accounts through regular follow-up, check-ins, and ongoing support after the initial sale.
- A customer-first, relationship-led approach, with a genuine interest in understanding client needs, driving engagement, and supporting retention and growth over time.
- 5+ years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven track record of B2B sales success, ideally in EPOS, SaaS, hospitality, or sports tech. Preferably with knowledge of sales of payment solutions.
- Self-starter with strong organisational and leadership capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of consultative and solution-based sales strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience working with or selling to golf clubs is an advantage.
- Comfortable with CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
- Passion for the golf and sports industries and an understanding of golf retail and club operations is a plus.
