We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced operator to join the Farm team to help harvest the apples and manage the orchards in this full-time role starting in August, in time for the apple harvest.
About the farm business
Located in a beautiful part of Somerset, near Shepton Mallet, Orchard Park Farm comprises of over 200 Ha of cider apple orchards under management, and has a juice-processing cidery, pressing and making approximately 1.2 million litres of base cider per year. It is a growing rural business and hosts public facing events throughout the year.

Responsibilities of the role:
· Operating the apple harvester
· Driving John Deere tractors, JCB slew, telehandler and ATV.
· Operating apple shakers and blowers.
· General orchard care: Pruning, tree planting, mowing.
· Helping with events and other activities
· General farm duties

· Have an aptitude for machinery maintenance
Candidate Requirements
· Experienced in tractor driving is essential and ideally self-propelled harvesters.
· Forklift, telehandler, ATV, chainsaw and spraying certificates desirable, but training can be provided.
· Full UK Driving Licence
· Minimum age 18 years.
· Applicants must be able to show evidence of the right to work in the UK.

· Pay: £25,300 - £30,000 p.a. depending on age and experience.

Work Location: In person at Orchard Park Farm, BA4 6SF
Working Hours: 45 hrs/week. Monday-Friday (07:30 – 17:00), with some weekends and extra hours during busy season (Sep – Dec).
