JOB TITLE – Assistant Conference & Banqueting Manager
DEPARTMENT – Conference & Banqueting
CONTRACT TYPE – Full Time, Permanent
RATE OF PAY – £35,963 per annum
HOURS – 40 Hours per week
LOCATION – Celtic Manor Resort, Newport

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional looking to take the next step in their management career. Supporting the delivery of world-class conferences, spectacular banquets, prestigious sporting events and unforgettable celebrations, you'll play a key role in one of the UK's most dynamic event operations.
Working alongside an experienced leadership team, you will help oversee the day-to-day operation of our Conference & Banqueting department, ensuring exceptional guest experiences whilst developing and inspiring a talented team.

OUR IDEAL HERO WILL HAVE

Supervisory or management experience within a Conference & Banqueting, Events or hospitality environment
Experience delivering high-quality service for conferences, banquets, weddings or large-scale events
Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
A passion for developing and motivating teams to achieve exceptional results
A proactive and hands-on approach, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence

IMPLEMENTING OUR ‘YES, WE CAN’ PHILOSOPHY, YOU WILL

Support the day-to-day management of Conference & Banqueting operations, ensuring every event runs smoothly and successfully
Lead, coach and motivate team members, creating a positive and high-performing working environment
Coordinate the setup, delivery and breakdown of conferences, banquets and special events to the highest standards
Monitor service standards, guest feedback and operational procedures to continually enhance the customer experience
Work closely with internal departments and event organisers to ensure seamless event delivery and memorable guest experiences
