We are looking for ambitious candidates who possess strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. If you are looking to reskill or have a desire to develop your skills in Project Controls, then this could be the opportunity for you. This is a challenging but rewarding role that will require outstanding customer facing and team working skills.

You will be given the opportunity to work within a delivery environment, supporting on Project Controller activities for projects/programmes. It will also enable you to collaborate with likeminded individuals to help solve complex problems within the engineering and defence space.

As part of the programme, you will be provided with the necessary tools, experience, and training to help develop your skills within project, programme and portfolio management (P3M). You will receive best in class training within project management, planning and controls, Primavera (planning/scheduling tool) and Excel. Courses will also cover soft skills such as negotiation presentation, emotional intelligence and conflict resolution. The training is centred around scenario-based learning, where you will be involved in practical application workshops.

The role
As a Project Controller, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is your opportunity to become part of a leading engineering services company, and to support the Project Controls portfolio for high priority engineering and defence projects. Playing a critical role in ensuring that our projects are completed successfully, on time, and within budget, whilst implementing best practices.

Day to day, you’ll secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes, as well as managing projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted Project Controls. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders granting you great exposure to the wider business and various opportunities across Babcock.

Responsible for the co-ordination and collation of all project Project Controls data.
Responsible for the production of Revenue and Project Controls Reports.
Provide forward looking trends and variance analysis information identifying expected project Project Controls performance and comparisons against applicable project performance targets.
Facilitates re-forecasting exercises with the Project Team to ensure accurate forecasting.
Ensuring Project Controls reporting alignment with the Project WBS.
Assist with Monthly Billing.

Previous experience working in a delivery environment within engineering/project/construction management or any other related field that is delivery focussed and output driven.
