We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to join our fantastic team and work at our industry leading holiday clubs this summer. We are looking for fun, enthusiastic, ambitious sports coaches and leaders to work at Bristol & South Gloucestershire's biggest holiday club provider.
Post Title: Head Sports Coaches & Playleaders to work during the half term school holidays.
Additional work may be available as part of the role, working in Primary schools delivering sports clubs and/or mentoring.
Working Hours: Between 8.30am - 4.30pm (Monday - Friday).
Monday to Friday - Flexibility offered, it is not essential to work all days. Please note this role is during the half term holidays. Term time roles and opportunities may be available with Swift alongside this during term time. Both roles can be separate or combined. Flexible days offered around other commitments.
About the Role Swift Sports Coaching are the leading provider in delivering holiday camps in South Gloucestershire & Bristol for Primary aged children during the half term holidays. With awesome theme days and enriching activities on offer daily, we are looking for enthusiastic, driven, fun individuals to join our established and successful team of sports coaches. Taking the lead in delivering sports and games for groups of 5 - 13 year old children. You will be responsible for signing children in/out, ensuring our processes are adhered to and ensuring the the day runs smoothly where children are engaged in a wide range of activities. You will work and positively lead the team of Sports Coaches to ensure a safe and fun filled day for participants.
Progression and term time work in Primary schools available alongside this role. We have other roles as sports coaches and playleaders this summer, if you are unsuccessful in your head coach application.

Swift Sports Coaching are a proud and successful team, committed to running fantastic sports clubs for Primary aged children to enjoy sport and continue in the future. We are leading providers in delivering P.E teaching, holiday clubs, after school clubs, enrichment services to Primary aged children in schools within Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
General Information:
- Relevant experience is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
- DBS preferable but not essential - Swift Sports Coaching is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. For this post prior to appointment, Swift Sports Coaching can apply for an enhanced disclosure certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Purpose of the role: You will be delivering a range of safe, fun and inclusive holiday clubs and be responsible for:
- Engaging and inspiring young children to enjoy and participate in sports and activities and act as a positive role model for children to follow.
· Leading groups & activities in a variety of sports and age groups
· Confidently deliver a wide range of sports
· Follow Swift Sports Coaching and school safeguarding procedures
· Manage pupils behaviour at all times
· Represent Swift Sports Coaching in a professional manner
· Liaise positively and confidently with children, parents/carers and school staff
It is essential that the successful candidate has the following:
· Excellent communication skills
· Prioritise the safety and well being of the young children they work with
· Organised and punctual
· Can work alone or as part of a team

The post-holder will;
- Work within the requirements of Data Protection at all times
- Understand your responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding and child protection and how to highlight an issue / concerns
- Remain vigilant to ensure all students are protected from potential harm
- Will be expected to undertake any appropriate training provided by Swift Sports Coaching to assist them in carrying out any of the above duties.
- Will be expected to contribute to the protection of children and young people, as appropriate, in accordance with any agreed policies and/or guidelines, reporting any issues or concerns to their immediate line manager.
- Will be required to promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the work place. To include ensuring that the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH, and all other mandatory regulations are adhered to
- An Enhanced Disclosure with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be undertaken before an appointment can be confirmed and the appointment is subject to a satisfactory DBS.
