We work in prisons and the community, delivering specialist programmes and tailored one-to-one support to enable lasting rehabilitation and meaningful social impact.
As we expand our services across the Midlands and North West, we are seeking a committed and motivated Case Worker to support men on probation and those leaving custody.
About the Role
You will provide intensive, one-to-one support to men on probation and those being released from prison under Post-Sentence Supervision.
The role focuses on supporting individuals with complex needs to access appropriate local services, stabilise their circumstances, and move towards employment and desistance from crime. You will deliver prison in-reach and “Through the Gate” support, advocate with partner agencies, and work closely with probation and community organisations.
As a Case Worker, you will take responsibility for managing complex cases, contributing to best practice, and supporting high standards of safeguarding and risk management across the service.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one advocacy, practical advice, and emotional support
- Assess need and risk, developing personalised and trauma-informed support plans
- Manage a caseload of individuals with complex and high-risk needs
- Deliver prison in-reach and pre-release planning support
- Support individuals to access services relating to housing, wellbeing, training and employment
- Monitor risk, engagement and progress, escalating safeguarding concerns appropriately
- Work in partnership with probation and other statutory and voluntary agencies
- Maintain accurate, confidential and timely case records
- Contribute to service development and uphold high professional standards
Essential Requirements
- Significant experience supporting men with complex needs (e.g. mental health, substance use, offending history)
- Strong experience in casework, advocacy and risk management
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and community resettlement pathways
- Experience managing complex or high-risk cases
- Strong communication, IT and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
- Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred)
- Prison vetting (or willingness to obtain)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6-9 months
Pay: £29,200.00-£34,000.00 per year
