Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and cheerful part-time builder / handy person to join our team, responsible for working on small to medium projects in and around our properties.

Work day/s is/are flexible in discussion with the successful applicant, but will not include Fridays or Saturdays.

Reliable transport is required as our sites are not on public transport routes. The ideal applicant will live within a 30 minute drive.

The ideal candidate will possess practical experience in building / DIY, from simple repairs, painting, etc (experience in plastering, tiling, refitting showers etc) & with a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilising a range of tools and techniques to ensure the upkeep of our premises. Could suit someone retired or semi-retired but active. Sociable, friendly atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Utilise hand tools & equipment to carry out maintenance and project tasks efficiently.
Perform basic maintenance tasks.
Carry out general repairs around the property, including assisting with fixing fences, gates, and outdoor structures.
Maintain organised work areas and ensure all tools are properly stored after use.
Identify potential issues early and take appropriate action to prevent further damage or deterioration.

Qualifications

Proven experience with hand tools, power tools (drill, impact driver, sander, circular saw, strimmer, lawn mower)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards.
Good eye for detail and ability to follow a checklist and report back on any issues.
Physical fitness to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
This position is ideal for someone who is happy to 'muck in' with a small team
It would suit someone who enjoys working in a beautiful rural location, and takes pride in their work.

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
