The Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive HR & Operations Assistant to provide administrative support across HR-related matters and operational activities across the business.
Working closely with the HR Manager and Head of Operations, this role will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of both functions by providing effective administration, maintaining accurate records, and supporting key business processes.
The successful candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and the confidence to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm (40 hours per week). We are open to discussing alternative working hours for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR and Operations functions.
- Work closely with the Head of Operations and HR Manager to support business priorities.
- Provide personal assistant support to the Head of Operations, including managing communications, prioritising emails, coordinating diaries, arranging meetings, and preparing documentation.
- Support the HR function across key areas including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee records, training and development administration, employee relations support, and compliance activities.
- Prepare letters, reports, meeting documents, and other business communications.
- Support warehouse management with team administration, including timecards, holiday records, and sickness tracking.
- Assist with coordinating events, bookings, travel arrangements, and accommodation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across HR and operational systems.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure effective business operations.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and enjoys working in a varied role where no two days are the same.
Essential Requirements:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally supporting HR, operations, or a busy office environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally and with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
Desirable Requirements:
- A recognised administration and or HR qualification (or working towards)
- Previous experience using HR systems
