Full job description

We are currently recruiting for a PSV/HGV Mechanic to join one of the UK's largest and most established passenger transport operators at their Bath depot.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified vehicle technician looking to work within a modern engineering environment maintaining a large fleet of buses, with ongoing training, career progression and a strong benefits package on offer.

The role:

Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults
Servicing and carrying out planned maintenance inspections
Replacing components and completing defect rectification work
Supporting roadside breakdowns and vehicle recoveries when required
Working to high safety and compliance standards within a busy workshop environment

HGV Technicians
HGV Mechanics
Vehicle Technicians
Ex-Forces Engineers
Light Vehicle Technicians looking to move into heavy vehicles

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair
Full UK driving licence
PSV experience is beneficial but not essential
HGV, commercial vehicle or transferable mechanical experience considered

£19.70 - £23.36 per hour depending on shift pattern
£3,000 joining bonus
39-hour working week
