Job summary

We are recruiting a Social Care Data and Analysis Team Leader to join our Data and Insight team.

As a Social Care Data and Analysis Team Leader you will provide leadership for analysis, insight and official statistics relating to Local Authority Inspection and Childrens Social Care. You will oversee the production of high-quality pre-inspection data and analytical outputs that support inspectors, senior leaders and organisational decision-making. Working with internal and external stakeholders, including the Department for Education, you will ensure data is accurate, timely and fit for purpose, while personally leading on the communication of key findings and insights. You will also be responsible for delivering a range of high-profile outputs, including official statistics, Freedom of Information requests, Parliamentary Questions and other ad hoc analysis.

This is a leadership role requiring a strategic and collaborative approach. You will lead and develop a team of analysts, ensuring all outputs are delivered to a high standard and have maximum impact. Working closely with colleagues across Data and Insight and wider business areas, you will drive innovation in the use of data, contribute to cross-organisational projects and help shape the organisations analytical priorities. You will play a key role in divisional leadership, managing change, identifying solutions to complex challenges and representing the organisation with senior stakeholders and external partners.

Selection process details

This vacancy is using Success Profiles , and will assess your Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills.

Application and shortlisting

The selection panel will assess your application based on your evidence you have provided against the essential/desirable criteria as set out in the job specification.

Use the STAR model (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to present your evidence.

You will also be asked to provide information within the Employer/Activity History section of the application form. This information is equivalent to the information you would provide on a CV setting out your career history (this may be used in the sifting process).

Interviews
