Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen
- Supporting the organisation and restocking of supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Supporting the broader kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is advantageous but not essential; a keen willingness to learn is equally valued
- Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
