Commercial Safety Flooring Installer

About Us

Young Drains Ltd is a growing plumbing, drainage and commercial flooring company providing high-quality services to commercial and domestic customers across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Commercial Safety Flooring Installer to join our team.

The Role

The successful candidate will primarily install commercial safety flooring across a variety of sites including healthcare facilities, schools, offices, retail units, care homes and other commercial properties. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Installation of commercial safety vinyl flooring (Altro, Polyflor, Gerflor or similar)
Floor preparation including grinding, priming and latex levelling
Installation of cap and cove flooring systems
Hot weld joints to manufacturer specifications
Measuring, setting out and fitting flooring to a high standard
Uplifting and disposing of existing floor coverings where required
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Providing a professional and courteous service to customers

Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence
Previous commercial flooring installation experience
Experience fitting safety vinyl flooring
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, hardworking and punctual
Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship

Desirable (Not Essential)

Experience with Altro, Polyflor, Gerflor or similar commercial flooring products
Experience installing cap and cove systems
Hot weld certification or experience
CSCS card
SSSTS or SMSTS
IPAF or PASMA certification
Asbestos Awareness training
Manual Handling certificate

Applicants with strong practical flooring experience are encouraged to apply even if they do not hold all of the above qualifications.
