Seasonal Receptionist - Perle Hotels

Location: The Bosville, Marmalade and Bracken Hide Hotels in Portree, The Isle of Skye

Salary: £13.45 (+ £1.00 as a housing allowance if you do not require subsidised staff accommodation) + tips & benefits

The Opportunity

Do you love making guests feel welcome from the very first hello? Here at Perle Hotels our Reception team sets the tone for the entire guest experience. We are looking for friendly, professional, and guest-focused Seasonal Receptionists to join our team.

As the first point of contact, you'll be responsible for delivering warm Scottish hospitality, handling guest enquiries, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the front desk.

About the Hotels

Together, The Bosville, Marmalade and The Bracken Hide offer three distinct four-star experiences in and around Portree. From the boutique charm and harbour views of The Bosville, to the design-led elegance of Marmalade set within mature gardens, and the wilderness escape of The Bracken Hide with its Scandi-style cabins and expansive grounds, each hotel has its own character and style. Across all three properties, guests enjoy warm Highland hospitality, contemporary interiors and destination dining that celebrates Skye's land and sea. From freshly landed seafood and prime Scottish meats, to locally foraged ingredients, which are complemented by inviting bars and relaxing spaces to unwind.

Key Responsibilities

Provide a warm and professional welcome to all guests, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process.
Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone, and by email, always with courtesy and efficiency.
Manage reservations, payments, and billing with accuracy.
Liaise with housekeeping, food & beverage, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain reception and lobby areas to the highest standards.
Assist with guest requests, local knowledge, and personalised service.
Support the Reception Supervisor/Reception Manager in daily duties as required.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in hospitality or a customer service role preferred but not essential, full training will be provided.

A natural communicator with a warm, welcoming personality.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Comfortable using computers and hotel booking/reservation systems (training provided).

Calm under pressure and able to solve problems quickly.

A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

Salary & Benefits

An hourly rate of £13.45
£1.00 housing allowance for those NOT requiring accommodation.
