Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Singing Teacher to join our vibrant Saturday team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong vocal background and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring students of all ages and skill levels. This role offers an excellent opportunity to foster musical growth in a supportive environment, helping students develop their vocal techniques and confidence. The Singing Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to 4-18 year olds, along with preparing students for various performance opportunities.

Opportunities for extra event hours at peak times.

Duties

Plan and deliver singing lessons that cater to the individual abilities and goals of each class.
Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their vocal techniques and performance skills.
Create a positive, motivating atmosphere that encourages students to explore their musical potential.
Prepare students for performances, showcases and presentations.
Maintain accurate records of lesson progress and attendance.
Stay informed about current teaching methods and vocal health practices to ensure safe and effective instruction.
Foster a supportive environment that promotes confidence, creativity, and enjoyment of singing.
Work as part of a growing team, contributing ideas and progression opportunities.
Assist teachers in drama and dance classes as required

Experience

Proven experience within the music industry, teaching experience is also desirable.
Experience working with diverse age groups and skill levels is desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
A recognised qualification in music or vocal performance is preferred but not essential if accompanied by substantial practical experience.
Passionate about music education with excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students effectively.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
