Full job description

We are seeking experienced residential conveyancers to join our highly respected team. Applications are welcome from solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives, licensed conveyancers and unqualified conveyancers.

The positions will most likely be based in Canterbury and Margate, but you would be welcome to also indicate a preference for a role at our other Thanet offices in Birchington, Broadstairs, or Ramsgate.

Boys & Maughan is one of East Kent’s largest and oldest legal practices, and we are the market leaders in the area, with six local offices. We receive outstanding feedback from our clients, and we recommend you read some of our reviews on our website.

You should expect to manage a caseload, be able to demonstrate your experience in leasehold, freehold, new build properties, remortgages and lease extension work and enjoy a challenging, fast-moving professional environment.

Our team is friendly and committed, and we would like you to be a team player. We have excellent, long-term relationships with our clients and local estate agents, allowing you to make your mark and progress your career.

We will consider applications from individuals who wish to work full or part-time. If part-time interests you, we often find that working hours spread out across four days works well. Working from home is effective, and we believe in its benefits, so we have a permanent and occasional working-from-home policy. You would be welcome to propose up to 40% home working.

Your salary will be competitive and negotiable. The position is permanent, and your hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm if you join us full-time.
