FREIGHT FORWARDING & EUROPEAN FLATBED / ABNORMAL LOAD SALES EXECUTIVE
Location: INKBERROW Warwickshire (with travel across UK & Europe)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 basic + uncapped commission (OTE £55k–£70k+ per year)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time | Monday–Friday, core hours with flexibility for client needs Start Date: Immediate About Us
We are an established family-run transport and logistics business with over 20 years’ experience operating from our base Inkberrow – with excellent access to the M42, M5 and M40 motorway networks. We specialise in general haulage, overnight pallet distribution, European flatbed transport, high-sided loads and specialist abnormal load movements. We are now looking for an experienced sales professional to grow this key part of our business.
Key Responsibilities
You will drive new business and manage existing accounts across two core areas:
✅ Freight Forwarding Sales
- Source and secure new UK and international freight forwarding enquiries
- Arrange competitive quotes, manage customs documentation and end-to-end shipment coordination
- Build strong relationships with importers, exporters and industry partners
✅ European Flatbed, High-Sided & Abnormal Load Sales
- Target manufacturers, construction firms, engineering companies and trade clients requiring specialist transport
- Advise customers on route planning, permits, escort requirements and legal compliance for oversize/overweight loads
- Negotiate rates, close new contracts and maximise revenue from flatbed and high-sided movements across UK and all European destinations
- Maintain accurate records of leads, quotes and sales activity What We’re Looking For
- Essential: Proven sales experience within road transport, freight forwarding or logistics – specifically with flatbed/specialist loads
- Strong knowledge of European road transport regulations and abnormal load requirements
- Confident building business relationships and negotiating at all levels
- Good organisational skills and ability to work to targets
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
