Piroto Labelling Limited is medium size Company employing 40+ staff. Operating independently since 1987, we produce a wide variety of printed label and tag products for many well-known companies. It is an exciting time to join Piroto following a steady increase in revenue we have recently invested in a new state of the art Mark Andy press, pre-press equipment and our infrastructure.
As a result, a vacancy has arisen in our Production area for an experienced Flexographic Printer with knowledge of all aspects of printed and plain label production from print through to the finished product.
We are seeking a skilled Print Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing machinery, ensuring high-quality output while adhering to production schedules. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Above all, we are interested in hearing from people who are skilled printers with a flexible approach to work and a strong continuous improvement ethic. The willingness to be flexible around working hours and a desire to ensure the job is completed to meet customer requirements would be a key attribute.

Working Hours & Overtime
The role operates on a rotating 4-day working pattern, with standard hours of 6:00am to 16:00pm. The working days rotate weekly to provide a varied schedule, for example: Monday to Thursday (with Friday and the weekend off), followed by Tuesday to Friday the next week, then Monday, Wednesday to Friday, and so on.
Overtime is optional and may be available from time to time, including on scheduled days off and weekends, depending on business requirements.
Duties
- Operate various printing machines, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency and quality of printed materials.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to minimise downtime.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Completion of job related documentation for traceability and quality checking procedures.
Experience/Qualifications
- We seek a high calibre individual educated to GCSE Level, and ideally apprenticed trained printer.
- Minimum of 2 years Flexographic printing experience, ideally with a background in label manufacturing.
- Colour matching/ ink mixing skills and experience would be advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
- Knowledge of Plain label machines, automatic turrets, rewinder and converters would be advantageous.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
