We have an exciting opportunity in Ripon for someone to join our Crew as a full-time Assistant Accountant. This is a fast-paced environment which involves clear thinking and the ability to multi-task.

Join our Finance Crew in Ripon, North Yorkshire.

As the Assistant Accountant, you will report into the Management Accountant. You will gain exposure to month-end reporting, financial analysis and process improvement to ensure the finance function has robust financial controls in place.

Key responsibilities including but not being limited to:

The position will very much start off as a broad finance role, with primary responsibility for:

Assist with daily banking and cash reconciliations.
Assist with month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments and financial reporting.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Support audits and compliance checks.
Assist with stock and cost control administration.
Provide general finance and administrative support as required.
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
Liaise with colleagues across the business to gather financial information and resolve queries.

Requirements:

· Previous experience within a finance or accounting role.

· AAT Level 3 or above.

· Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.

· A proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for finance.

· Professional, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
