Looking for a rewarding part-time role where you can use your maths skills and make a real difference?

Join our friendly team at Mathnasium of Bromsgrove and help students build confidence, improve understanding and enjoy maths in a fun, supportive environment.

If you are a recent graduate or have a strong mathematical background, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience, develop teaching skills and build highly transferable skills in communication, mentoring and problem-solving.

Gain valuable teaching and leadership experience in a structured, supportive environment.

Please note: All applicants who progress to the next stage of the selection process will be required to complete a Higher Tier GCSE-level maths assessment at our learning centre, located at 67 High Street, Bromsgrove, B61 8AQ.

Working Hours

We are looking for candidates able to commit to approximately 12-20 hours per week within the following times:

School Term Time: Mon to Thurs 3:30pm – 7:30pm, Sat 10am – 2pm
Summer (23 July - 30 Aug) & School Holidays: Mon to Thurs 10am – 2pm, Sat 10am – 2pm

Hours may vary slightly depending on demand. This is a part-time, permanent role paid at the applicable minimum wage, with opportunities for progression to Lead Instructor and Assistant Manager roles.

Full training is provided, with a structured programme designed to develop confident and effective instructors, alongside ongoing training and development.

Key Responsibilities

Teach maths using the Mathnasium method (full training provided)
Support students in building confidence and understanding
Create a positive and engaging learning environment
Work as part of a friendly, motivated team
Communicate effectively with students and parents

What We’re Looking For

Strong maths skills (A-Level upwards preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for working with children
Positive, energetic, and engaging personality
Ability to work as part of a team
You must be aged 18 or over to apply
Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a bonus

We are ideally looking for candidates seeking a longer-term role; this position is well suited to gap year students or recent graduates.
