An overview of the role
Here at Open GI we want to give everyone the confidence to create market leading technical solutions for our customers.
This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic dedicated team whereby you can leverage your knowledge and expertise working on a technology stack which spans C# and Java applications. You'll be working alongside some great individuals that want to mature and improve all areas within the product and the software lifecycle.
Your key responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code

Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications

Translate application storyboards and user stories into functional applications

Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devise solutions

Help maintain code quality, organisation and automation

Collaborate with other Scrum team members
- Actively contribute to our developer community

Actively contribute to a continually improving Agile software development framework
What you'll need to succeed
Essential
-
Typically, 2-3 years of software development experience
-
Working Experience supporting software in a production environment
-
Working Experience in C# and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

Experience in Java
-
Experience in Web Service Development
- Working experience in databases
- Working experience of code review practices
Desirable
-
Experience in Unit Testing
- Working experience in at least one Agile Framework

Working experience in Web Development (HTML, CSS & JavaScript)

Experience of Gradle

Experience working with Agile Programming methods

Working knowledge of GIT usages and pull request etiquette

Working knowledge in JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Svelte, Vue, AngularJS, Knockout)
