Hours:37 - Hybrid (3 days a week onsite)

About The Role

As a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of electrical products across multiple Zephyr programmes.

Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will help generate and maintain the digital design record, collaborating closely with both internal teams and external manufacturing and installation partners.

This is a dynamic role in a growing organisation, offering exposure to evolving programmes and complex, rewarding design challenges.

Responsibilities to include:

Support Avionics and Systems Engineering teams in developing and maintaining the production design record for new concepts and design changes.
Produce detailed electrical design solutions using SolidWorks Electrical.
Select appropriate electrical components to satisfy schematic and system level requirements.
Act as a key contact for electrical design queries across engineering and production.
Provide hands on support to the build line in resolving emerging electrical issues.
Support and participate in design maturity gate reviews in accordance with AALTO’s design processes.
Help manage design changes in line with configuration and change control processes.
Collaborate with Production and Procurement teams to ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) considerations are addressed early in the lifecycle.

Skills and Knowledge Required

An interest in developing experience in aviation‑focused electrical design
BEng or MSc, or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
Must have experience and a good proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical
Understanding of and interest in resolving emergent electrical issues and developing innovative solutions
Understanding of translating system level requirements into complete design solutions
