Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Hoddy Brickies Labourers to join our construction team. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople with various masonry and building tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in construction work, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Responsibilities
- Assist bricklayers and masons with laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials
- Prepare and organise tools, materials, and work areas for daily tasks
- Handle hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and levels efficiently and safely
- Support the use of power tools for cutting, drilling, or fixing masonry components
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to scaffolding or formwork when required
- Support roofing activities by passing materials or holding structures in place
- Operate basic welding equipment under supervision when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by clearing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Requirements
- Prior experience with hand tools, bricklaying, masonry, or related trades is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for eager learners
- Basic knowledge of power tools, carpentry, roofing, or welding is desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to follow safety instructions diligently and work effectively within a team
- Physically fit with good stamina to perform manual labour throughout the working day
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety standards on-site
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various construction tasks
