Full job description

We are seeking a Sales-Driven and Customer-Focused Bar Manager with strong leadership skills to elevate our new venue to meet the high standards expected by our directors. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in managing bars within a nightclub or late-night environment and be well-versed in all aspects of bar or hospitality management, from licensing to health and safety compliance.

This role requires a hands-on approach to management, the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively, and exceptional organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Bar Operations: Oversee all bar operations, including inventory management, drink preparation, and quality control to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Staff Management: Lead, train, and motivate bar staff to provide exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of presentation and professionalism.
Customer Service: Ensure guests have a positive experience by being approachable, attentive, and responsive to their needs.
Sales & Revenue: Drive sales through promotions, upselling, and creative marketing initiatives to maximise profitability.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations, including alcohol permits, hygiene standards, and crowd management.
Financial Management: Monitor sales, manage budgets, and control costs to achieve financial targets.
Event Coordination: Work closely with the events team to support special events, themed nights, and private bookings, ensuring the bar operations are seamlessly integrated.
Reporting: Provide regular reports to directors on bar performance, revenue, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in bar or hospitality management within a nightclub or late-night venue.
Knowledge of licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and alcohol service requirements.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
Sales-driven mindset with the ability to maximize revenue through promotions and creative strategies.
High level of organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
Smart appearance, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Personal Alcohol Licence (Required).
