Embedded Firmware & Edge Gateway Development
▪ Lead end-to-end firmware design and development for industrial IoT edge gateways on ESP32, STM32,
and ARM-based platforms, from concept through production release
▪ Architect and implement modular firmware on FreeRTOS and embedded Linux with secure commissioning,
OTA updates, dual-bank rollback, and configurable edge logic orchestration
▪ Implement multi-protocol connectivity including BLE 5.0, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, RS485/Modbus RTU, and
MQTT/TLS cloud integration with network failover and remote device management
▪ Own the full embedded software lifecycle: requirements, architecture, coding, code review, integration
testing, and release management
Industrial Protocols & Real-Time Networking
▪ Design, port, and validate industrial protocol stacks including PROFINET IO Device, OPC UA, HART, and
TSN/PTP (802.1AS) solutions across Linux, FreeRTOS, and Yocto-based platforms
▪ Lead conformance testing with ART/ETS tooling, PLC integration validation, and packet-level debugging for
real-time industrial communication requirements
▪ Build TSN demonstration and validation platforms with PTP synchronization, scheduled traffic,
YANG/sysrepo configuration, NETCONF APIs, and multi-node latency/jitter measurement
Linux Platform Engineering & Device Integration
▪ Perform embedded Linux board bring-up, device tree customization, kernel driver development, and BSP
integration on TI AM64x, AM437x, PHYTEC, and BeagleBone platforms
▪ Develop and maintain Yocto-based build environments, cross-compilation toolchains, and CI-ready
firmware build pipelines with coding standards and static analysis practices
▪ Support hardware-software co-design including schematic review, peripheral integration, factory validation,
and field reliability qualification
Technical Leadership & Customer Engagement
▪ Serve as technical SPOC for global client engagements across pre-sales, SoW definition, effort estimation,
RFP responses, and delivery governance
▪ Lead and mentor cross-functional teams of 15–20 engineers across firmware, test, and systems integration
workstreams
▪ Collaborate with product management, systems engineering, and customer stakeholders; manage
workstreams using project management tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps) with planning, estimation, and risk
management
