Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and high standards of hygiene. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the food service industry, whether you have prior restaurant, hotel, or culinary experience or are looking to develop your skills in a professional environment. Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen
Supporting the organisation and restocking of supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
Supporting the broader kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies at all times

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is advantageous but not essential; a keen willingness to learn is equally valued
Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role
